Based on the implementation stage, the progress levels of the actions have been identified as completed, in progress and in pipeline.

Out of the 80 broad actions, 50% of actions have been completed. 46% of actions are currently in progress adhering to the targeted time lines which shows positive strides towards the completion by the end of the NFIS term, while only 4% of actions are in pipeline.

Central Bank of Sri Lanka

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) is the apex institution in the financial sector in Sri Lanka. It was established in 1950 under the Monetary Law Act No. 58 of 1949 (MLA). The CBSL Act No. 16 of 2023 enacted in September 2023, superseded the MLA making CBSL an autonomous and accountable body,  governed by the Governing Board of the CBSL.
